Metro Boomin Announces New Label "Boominati"

Atlanta superproducer Metro Boomin has made significant strides in the music industry, considering the fact that he plays a role which typically doesn't receive as much recognition as it should. The contributions of producers in the past few years clearly outshine the lyrical content of rappers, but the debate as to what producers deserve has deepened the divide between them. Take Metro for example. The BET Awards praised many many artists that have risen from the underground scene to mainstream, and most of them have a amassed a long list of hits with him. But Metro did not receive the love and recognition you would expect, even after he has ascended to a seemingly unreachable level of stardom. As other producers like Sonny Digital look toward creating a union producers to combat the growing neglect, the steps taken by Metro come as a huge surprise. It'll be interesting to see where he goes with the label and what young and starving artists he signs. For now we can only sit and watch as the discussion between producers and rappers rages on.
